Join Wunan Health and Wellbeing Centre and help strengthen integrated and coordinated allied health care in the stunning East Kimberley. We’re seeking a dynamic, community-minded Physiotherapist to join our new allied health team and help to make a genuine difference in the lives of people living with chronic and complex conditions.
Wunan Health and Wellbeing Centre is a purpose-driven social enterprise committed to supporting the health and wellbeing needs of our community. Our primary health care service includes an accredited private GP clinic and integrated community services in youth mental health, disability advocacy and residential AOD withdrawal.
The Physiotherapist is a critical role within the rapidly growing allied health team at Wunan Health and Wellbeing Centre, providing high-quality, responsive, person-centred physiotherapy care for people in Kununurra and surrounding areas with chronic conditions and complex comorbidities.
You’ll play a pivotal role involving
-Designing and implementing exercise, rehabilitation and pain management programs,
-Supporting self-management, physical activity and health literacy through education for individuals and families
-Providing community-based care (medical centre, home visits, and local outreach)
-Collaborating across Wunan Foundation services and with local providers and health care services
-Contributing to care planning, joint care and integrated physiotherapy pathways
This position supports a 12-month initiative to enhance access to allied health services for individuals with GP Chronic Conditions Management Plans (GPCCMP), with a particular focus on strengthening culturally responsive and safe healthcare.

Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in physiotherapy; Full registration with AHPRA; Eligible for membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA);
Minimum of 3 years clinical physiotherapy experience with individuals across the lifespan;
Strong clinical reasoning skills and sound understanding of integrated care models and chronic conditions management;
Highly developed communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills;
Proven ability to work effectively and respectfully with clients, families, carers and colleagues from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
Commitment to person-centred, culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice;
Proficiency in electronic health care record management, Microsoft 365 applications, data collection, and reporting;
Sound knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation, standards and codes of practice.
