A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Leader to take on a pivotal 12 - 18-month assignment overseeing the payroll operations function within a large and complex organisation. This role offers the chance to guide an established team, drive best-practice payroll processes, and influence strategic uplift across a dynamic environment. Your new role
As the Payroll Manager, you will provide leadership, direction and operational oversight of the end-end payroll services. Working closely with senior stakeholders across HR, finance, employee relations and external agencies, you will play a key role in shaping payroll strategy, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance. Your new role will include, though not be limited to:

Lead and mentor a dedicated payroll operations team.

Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery, including fortnightly cycles, compliance and reporting.

Provide expert guidance on payroll legislation, tax, superannuation and employee entitlements.

Partner with HR, Finance and external agencies to resolve complex payroll matters.

Support system improvements, data integrity initiatives and compliance projects.

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience managing payroll operations in a complex environment.

Strong understanding of payroll legislation and reporting requirements.

Confident leader with experience coaching and developing teams.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to drive improvements while maintaining high-quality service delivery.
