We are looking for a full or part time employee to start immediately. Would prefer to have someone capable of working year round.

Sailfish Point Golf Club was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1981. It recently underwent it's second renovation in 2021 and is considered one of the best private golf communities in the state of Florida. It is meticulously manicured and the fairways are better than Astroturf, grassed with paspalum.

As an outdoor operations team member, you will help deliver that exceptional service and assist in the execution of our tournament program, as well as gain knowledge in the entire operation and add significant value to our team.

The Director of Golf, Mike Demakos, has spent time working at Augusta National Golf Club, Bel-Air Country Club, East Hampton Golf Club and other clubs prior to his 17 years at Nantucket Golf Club. He uses his experiences and relationships to mentor staff to be successful in thier chosen career.

Currently, at least twelve of his former staff are in Head Professional positions now. Some examples of these clubs are Sebonack Golf Club, McArthur Golf Club, Floridian National Golf Club, Sage Valley Golf Club, Charlotte Country Club, and Cabot St. Lucia Golf Club.

Essential Responsibilities

Purpose of Position:

Under the direction of the Head Golf Professional, the Outside Services Attendant is a non-exempt seasonal temporary positon responsible for professionally handling and maintaining the practice areas, bagroom, and on course amenities, while providing professional services to our membership and their guests. Ensures the highest level of service as meets expectations of Club members. Performs all work in accordance with essential functions and responsibilities as described below and in the spirit of the Club's mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

Duties shall include but not be limited to:

• Greets members and their guests and maintains a friendly, positive, helping, and motivated attitude at all times.
• Communicates appropriately and effectively with all departments regarding member and guest activity.
• Responsible for cleanliness, stocking, and trash duties of bagroom, club repair room, practice facilities and starter area.
• Stages practice tee, putting green, short game, first and tenth tee boxes, area with all necessary items such as balls, ball crates, bag stands, towels, tees, repair tools, etc. Stages golf carts on practice tee, putting green, and 1st tee.
• Manages and maintains Outside Services equipment including fleet of 27 golf carts, and the range picker. Stocks, cleans, cares for batteries, and stores equipment as designated. Notifies Director of Outside Operations of any maintenance concerns.
• Performs daily maintenance for the practice areas including, stocking golf balls, cleaning up broken tees, trash and keeping all starter, first tee and practice areas clean, neat, stocked and organized.
• Cleans member and guest golf clubs. Never let a member or guest handle their own golf bags unless otherwise informed.
• Maintains an accurate storage log of rental sets and fleet carts.
• Retrieves and places golf bags in their proper location (Bag room, lesson tee, valet, carts, etc.).
• Maintains course supplies such as drinking cups, lids, straws and summer iced towels at rest stations. Ensures they are aptly stocked and keeps the Director of Outside Operations notified of supply levels for timely reordering.
• Addresses members' concerns immediately, appropriately and to their satisfaction. Communicates any problems and potential issues such as damages, lost items, problems, injuries and questions to the Director of Outside Operations or a member of the professional staff. Provides feedback to management on members' comments and suggestions.
• Interacts with members and conducts oneself in a professional manner. Maintains a professional image.
• Performs club re-gripping and maintains inventory of related supplies.
• Inventories, or assists with inventorying rental clubs and grips. Tracks rental club use.
• Responsible for picking the driving range on a daily basis, retrieving range balls outside the range boundaries especially 1 st and 9 th holes, along with cleaning range balls, maintaining inventory and quality of usable stock.
• Assists with golf shop sales and merchandise promotion.
• Assists with tournament operations as directed.
• Assists with setting up tournaments, clinics or other golf related activities.
• Observes all Club safety practices and protocols.
• Performs other duties as designated by the Head Golf Professional.
