Description
Cait for New York is hiring an Organizing Director for the campaign to flip NY-17. The Organizing Director will be responsible for working closely with the Campaign Manager and partners to design, manage, and implement a direct voter contact program, including a relational organizing program and petitioning effort, for a highly competitive Congressional campaign. The ideal applicant has relevant campaign experience, ties to the district, works well in fast-paced environments, has a proven ability to meet goals, and is committed to electing Democrats at the congressional level.

This is a full-time, salaried position headquartered in Ossining, New York.
Responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing field and voter contact programs, including a relational organizing programs and ballot petitioning.
- Oversee a robust events program across the district.
- Manage a voter registration initiative to engage more voters in the Primary Election.
- Staff the candidate at community events and district meet and greets as needed.
- Work to build local grassroots volunteer and intern teams that will engage in direct voter contact and volunteer recruitment in this district.
- Work with the campaign manager and partners to analyze data and track progress on field metrics.
- Other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficient in voter database systems such as VAN, Mobilize, MiniVan, G-Suite, Excel, Microsoft Word, and Zoom
- At least 1-2 years of relevant community or political organizing experience.
- A self-motivated, team player with a proven track record of meeting goals and deadlines with an ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Strong organizational skills with a great attention to detail.
- Experience working in or around NY-17 and fluency in Spanish is preferred
Logistics & Working Conditions:
- Full-time in-person position based in or around Ossining, NY
- Ideal start date is January 1, 2026
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable mode of transportation.
