Job Title: Operations Support Assistant
Reports To: Executive Director
Status: Part-Time, Contract
Hours & Compensation
- 10–15 hours per week, flexible hours, (closer to 15 hours during fundraising seasons and special events)
- $20 per hour
The Operations Support Assistant plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in ensuring Magdalene House OKC operates smoothly, safely, and compassionately each day. This position supports program leadership through routine administrative tasks, residential house management, hands-on assistance with resident needs, and support of fundraising efforts — while also helping share the story and impact of Magdalene House OKC through social media and communications.
Requirements
Administrative & Program Support:
- Assist with routine administrative tasks such as:
- Answering emails and monitoring the general info email account
- Maintaining resident and program files
- Data entry and basic record keeping
- Preparing forms, reports, and correspondence
- Ordering and tracking office and program supplies
- Support Program Director with daily operational needs and documentation
Residential House & Structural Support:
- Assist in overseeing daily management of the residential home
- Conduct routine room checks in coordination with program management
- Help maintain a structured, organized living environment that supports accountability and recovery
- Monitor shared spaces and report maintenance, safety, or supply needs
- Support resident move-ins and move-outs
Resident Support & Supplies:
- Organize and manage resident supplies, donated goods, and household inventory
- Provide general resident assistance in alignment with program policies
Communications & Social Media:
- Assist in managing Magdalene House OKC’s social media platforms (Facebook & Instagram)
- Create and schedule regular posts highlighting program updates, events, and impact stories
- Assist with compiling and distributing the monthly newsletter
- Help capture photos and content (in accordance with confidentiality guidelines)
Special Events & Fundraising Support:
- Assist with planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of special events and fundraisers
Help prepare donor materials, packets, signage, and guest resources
- Support thank-you communications and event follow-up
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree or nonprofit experience preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working in a mission-driven, residential environment
- Basic computer and social media skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and healthy boundaries
