Operations Director, The Wisco Project
The Organization:
The Wisco Project is Wisconsin’s largest, scrappiest youth vote organization. We run large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize students across the state. In 2026, we will seek to build on the work of previous cycles to run our strongest program yet and score progressive victories for students across the state. This will be a crucial year for Wisconsin and we are in need of talented, dedicated staff ready to take on this challenge with us!
What Will You Do?
We are looking for an Operations Director to build and manage processes to support a large, dynamic program. The Operations Director should be an experienced leader who is passionate about supporting unique, exciting programming. The role will start in early January and run through November, with possibility of extension. This position will be based in Madison, WI and requires a significant amount of in-person work. Supporter housing may be available.
The Operations Director will report to the State Director and will:
Help to develop and manage budgetary, compliance, and other key operations processes
Manage a team of 1-3 operations staff
Oversee the purchasing and distribution of all supplies and materials for the organizing program and additional special programming
Oversee the administration of HQ office
Oversee relationships with external vendors
All other duties as assigned
Who Are You?
A successful candidate for this role will have:
At least 2-3 years of operations experience, with at least 1 cycle in an advanced ops role for a campaign or political organization.
Strong organizational and project management skills
Experience helping to manage a large budget, preferably for multiple entities
A track record of being flexible and solutions oriented in a high-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Familiarity with campus programs is preferred
Experience managing staff is preferred
Job Details: Compensation for this role is $7,500/month plus benefits. This is a full time role.
