Description
This position is responsible for the timely and accurate completion and distribution of the
District's payroll for all employees in compliance with federal, state and district rules, regulations and
school board policies. Ensures accurate employee pay and leave records.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Work Hours/Days: 8 hours/260 days (full time)
Salary: $51.41 - $58.13 Per Hour D.O.E.
Benefits: Per board policy and procedures regarding non represented employees
Start Date: 4/1/26
Location: Lake Stevens Educational Service Center

Requirements
Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles, budget and accurate
processing of payroll.
Experience working in a Washington State School District, experience working with
Skyward/Qmlativ/WESPaC preferred
Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws
Knowledge of computerized accounting systems; WSIPC experience preferred
Demonstrated appreciation for detail and extreme accuracy
Demonstrated skills and/or abilities in self-motivation, independent judgement, critical and
analytical thinking, organizational and project time management with minimal direction.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skill. Ability to communicate with all
individuals in a positive, professional and courteous manner.
Demonstrated ability to organize, meet deadlines, attend to detail and consistently follow
through on tasks.
Ability to analyze and research payroll information effectively, collect data, problem solve,
identify issues and develop and articulate solutions.
Computer proficiency; extensive knowledge/experience with database software, Google, Word
and Excel.
Demonstrated pattern of regular attendance. Ability and willingness to work flexible and/or
extended hours when needed.
Ability to practice ethical and professional standards of conduct, including confidentiality
Skill in organizing tasks and duties.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
Willingness to learn and apply new skills to accommodate a changing work environment
Ability to perform tasks while under pressure, maintain accuracy of information and meet
various payroll deadlines.
Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll and labor laws.
Knowledge in interpreting collective bargaining agreements. Know and follow district policies
and procedures.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and trainings
