Detailed Job DescriptionThe School of Photographic Arts and Sciences invites applicants to apply for a Non-Tenure Track Lecturer position. This position is part of the McGhee Endowment in the School of Photographic Arts and Sciences.
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses over the academic year in the school, including courses that combine photography with graphic design and moving media. The successful candidate will be nimble, technologically savvy, and forward-thinking on the future of photography and the creative industry and will be skilled in how photography, graphic design, motion, and emerging technology combine. Additional background in branding/marketing or experience as a creative director or content director is preferred.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the interdisciplinary vibrancy within the Visual Media option in the BFA in Photographic Imaging Arts, as well as contributing to the students and curriculum within the broader School of Photographic Arts and Sciences BFA program. The Visual Media option merges photography and video with graphic design and business, and is one of four options in the BFA; this position will have the potential crossover and utility between all of the options (Advertising Photography, Fine Art Photography, Photojournalism, Visual Media).

Required Minimum Qualifications
- An MFA degree or equivalent terminal degree in photography, graphic design, or related areas. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and exceptional professional and creative experience in a related field may be considered.
- Minimum two years of teaching experience in higher education or industry equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in photography, graphic design, and motion
- Facility with applicable tools and software, including proficiency with appropriate programs like InDesign Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, DaVinci, Premiere, etc.
- Ability to mentor students in developing their professional skills to prepare them for industry success
- Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the College's continuing commitment to individual differences
