Manager, Talent Acquisition & Growth (High-Performance Talent | On-Site – Head Office - Mount Pearl, NL)

We are not looking for a traditional recruiter. We are looking for someone who knows how to identify, attract, and secure high-calibre talent—and then help ensure they succeed once they join us. This role is based on-site at our head office in Mount Pearl, NL, working closely with leadership to shape the future of our organization.

Key Accountabilities
Talent Acquisition (Core Focus)
- Proactively source, identify, and engage high-performing candidates across Canada
- Build and maintain a strong, active talent pipeline
- Lead full-cycle recruitment with a focus on quality of hire
- Partner with leadership to define and hire for excellence
- Confidently position and sell the DMC opportunity to candidates
- Convert passive candidates into active interest and successful hires
Employer Brand & Talent Attraction
- Partner with marketing to position DMC as an employer of choice
- Develop strategies that attract talent before roles are even posted
- Leverage networks, referrals, and market insights to access top-tier candidates
- Strengthen DMC’s reputation through every candidate interaction

Onboarding & Talent Experience
- Design and deliver a high-quality onboarding experience that sets employees up for success
- Ensure consistency in how new hires are successfully integrated into the organization
- Create an experience that reflects DMC’s standards and culture
- Continuous capability building, identify gaps between hiring and high performance
- Partner with leadership to build practical, business-focused training initiatives
- Develop modern onboarding and learning approaches (applied learning, real-case scenarios, microlearning)
- Contribute to building a scalable internal learning environment that supports growth
Talent Strategy & Metrics
- Track and analyze recruitment effectiveness (pipeline strength, conversion, quality of hire)
- Continuously refine sourcing and attraction strategies
- Align hiring efforts with DMC’s growth plans
Requirements
Who You Are
- Experienced in recruitment within a high-performance environment (agency experience is a strong asset)
- Proactive talent hunter—not reliant on inbound applicants
- Confident in outreach, relationship-building, and influencing decisions
- Think like a sales professional—positioning, engagement, and closing
- Sharp judgment and can distinguish between good and exceptional talent
- Understand that hiring is only part of the equation—development drives results
- Energized by growth and want to play a meaningful role in scaling an organization
