Voya Investment Management is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our Investment Data & Analytics Team as Manager, Consultant Databases & RFP data. In this role, you will be responsible for the Voya profiles & products within Institutional Consultant Databases, as well as data provided in an RFPs and Due Diligence Questionnaires. You will collaborate closely with Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs), RFP team members, Sales & Distribution, and data providers to gather, verify, and organize data on various products and strategies. The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for the marketing of our products and strategies through consultant databases and RFPs in the investment domain. Successful candidates will bring a passion for process improvement through technology solutions to unlock productivity and efficiencies.
The Contributions You Will Make
- Consultant Databases: Ensure quality profiles are represented within consultant databases, including continuing periodic profile reviews by collaborating with product-specific SMEs to ensure appropriate data and language is represented in profiles.
- Recurring Updates: Facilitate periodic (quarterly/monthly) consultant database updates by collaborating with various teams to gather data. Work with respective teams/software to ensure data is loaded into consultant databases supplying complete, accurate, and timely: performance, characteristics, personnel, AUM & accounts data for upload.
- Consultant Database Review: Answer various ad hoc questions/requests regarding the consultant databases from internal/external clients. Manage ongoing improvement on database profiles across all Voya products.
- Manage & Support: Manage the Consultant Database Analysts/Associate members dedicated to supporting this role.
- Data Support for Sales & Distribution: Support RFP, Sales, and Consultant Relations by completing RFP and Consultant requests for AUM and portfolio data in a consultative manner, ensuring knowledge of the purpose, opportunity, prospect, etc., to best position the data and ensure a complete understanding by our stakeholders.
- RFP Requests & DDQs: Assist in maintaining periodic data required for RFP submissions, Due Diligence Questionnaires, and industry surveys. Data includes characteristics, AUM, and personnel data. Ensure appropriate footnotes are added and vetted for permissible use.
- Data Quality: Establish proper reviews of data to verify accurate data is being provided in consultant databases and RFPs.
- Process Improvement: Ensure constant evaluation aimed at streamlining processes by creating more efficient methods of gathering, sorting, and accessing data.
- Team Collaboration: Able to lead projects, partner, and work collaboratively in a team environment. This includes ongoing communication and partnership with the RFP Team, Sales, Product Management, Portfolio Specialists, Consultant Relations Team members, and other internal partners to drive strategic priorities. Additionally, collaboration with technical teams on solutioning for data requirements will be critical in the success of this role.
Requirements
Minimum Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum five years of experience in asset management with at least 3 years of specific experience related to consultant database management or RFP process.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong data and project management experience, with a proven ability to apply strategic and critical thinking when developing/enhancing processes and systems.
- Detail-oriented person who places a high priority on accuracy.
- Demonstrated experience working in an environment with multiple tasks and strict deadlines, with flexibility to adapt to frequently changing priorities.
- Robust technology skill set with proficiency in process improvement a demonstrated ability to learn and master new technology.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Ability to collaborate across teams and develop strong relationships.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required; SQL skills preferred.
Location: Atlanta, GA preferred; New York City Hybrid as potential consideration
