Experience Required
Experience in the golf industry and verified enrollment in Level 1 of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program is required.
Essential Responsibilities
The Lead Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for contributing to the success of the overall Golf Operation.
The position will work alongside the Director of Golf and the rest of the golf staff to provide superior customer service to all members and their guests. The Lead Assistant Golf Professional will be accountable for the management of all areas of the golf operation on a day-to-day basis and reporting all necessary items to the Director of Golf. The areas of accountability include, but are not limited to:
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations and supervise front line staff
- Manage all aspects of the golf operation
- Train new staff in areas of the golf operation
- Oversee operational cleanliness and appearance
- Provide member service of the highest possible quality
- Tournament operations for member events and outside outings
- Assist with leagues as needed
- Assist in the management of the golf shop merchandising as needed
- Assist with the Junior Golf Programs as needed
- Maintain golf skills at a respectable level
