Junior Investment Manager (80-100%), Zurich - UK and Northern European Market Coverage
Your role
- Support the management, monitoring and coordination of discretionary and advisory portfolios for clients with ties to the UK market
- Contribute to the implementation of tax-efficient portfolio management solutions in GBP, EUR, USD and CHF ensuring alignment with mandate guidelines, investment objectives and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to the day-to-day portfolio management process, including rebalancing, implementing investment decisions, and ensuring portfolios remain in line with the bank's strategic and tactical allocation views
- Prepare portfolio reviews, performance analyses, investment proposals and market updates for clients, prospects and internal stakeholders
- Collaborate closely with relationship managers to strengthen the investment offering and support business development across the UK-linked client base
- Develop a solid understanding of the bank's investment solutions to be able to provide clear, appropriate and coordinated support to internal stakeholders and clients, actively leveraging digital tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor market developments by gathering relevant insights on asset classes, macroeconomic trends and investment themes to contribute to ongoing oversight and investment decisions
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory obligations, compliance standards and internal policies applicable in Switzerland and for UK-related activities
Your profile
- Degree in finance, economics or a related field; progress toward an investment qualification (e.g., CFA Level I) is an advantage
- 2 years experience in investment-related functions such as portfolio support, advisory assistance, financial analysis or client-focused roles within wealth or asset management
- Strong interest in financial markets, investment solutions and portfolio construction including the use of technology to enhance analysis and execution
- Ability to learn quickly, work collaboratively and contribute positively within a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset
- Organised, proactive and adaptable, capable of operating in a dynamic and evolving context where technology and automation increasingly support investment processes
- Strong affinity for technology and the ability to learn new digital tools quickly. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is essential; familiarity with Bloomberg is an advantage
- Fluent in English; any other European language is an asset
- Swiss domicile or willingness to relocate
