- Investment Performance Analyst
Description
Our firm provides comprehensive investment consulting services, including performance measurement, monitoring, and reporting. The Performance Analyst plays a vital role in delivering these services. This position is primarily responsible for accurately calculating and reconciling investment performance and producing quarterly and periodic performance reports for clients.
Apply investment expertise and sound judgment to select appropriate benchmarks and peer group comparisons for client portfolios.
Process and validate custodian bank downloads and data files for use in third party performance measurement systems.
Reconcile monthly cash flows for client accounts, transactions, fees, and returns for both marketable and non-marketable investments.
Deliver accurate and timely monthly and quarterly reports, and ad hoc projects.
Ensure accuracy of all data inputs to maintain reporting integrity.
Communicate professionally with custodial banks, fund companies, investment managers, clients, and consultants on performance and reporting matters.
Collaborate on report construction with analysts and senior investment professionals in a team-oriented environment.
Interact with clients/consultants regarding performance and reporting issues.
Setup new clients, templates, and enhancements to the performance reporting system.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and best practices in reporting and operations.
Other responsibilities, as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant financial industry experience required.
Strong understanding of investments and financial performance measurement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
Experience with PARis, Envestnet, and Tamarac is preferred but not required.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and resolve complex problems effectively.
Dependable, professional, and respectful of colleagues with consistent attendance and punctuality.
Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement (CIPM) from CFA Institute is a plus.
