Inventory Specialist
Location: Duluth, MN
Job type: Full Time
Schedule: 5am Start time, Monday - Friday
Hourly pay: $23.25-$26.25/hr
**Compensation for this position includes hourly salary, short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role.

A Day in the Life of a Warehouse Associate
What You'll Do
As an Inventory Specialist you will assist operations management by ensuring the ongoing accuracy of the Viking Electric inventory system and reconciling inventory variances in a proper manner.
You will...
- Conduct daily reconciliation of inventory shortages found during picking on previous shifts.
- Perform daily cycle counting.
- Work with sales and counter sales to process returns from customers. Engage with management to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Process receipts of non-stock material to include cross docking and/or create new bin locations for new stock.
- Coordinate weekly bin maintenance mechanics, communicating the results and concerns to shift managers.
- Work with ERP specialist, project staging specialist and branch management to pick, organize, and process RMA/RGA material.
What You Bring
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years distribution or warehouse operations, two years of cycle counting, inventory reconciliation and automated systems plus one-year operating material handling equipment.
- Be at least 18 years old
- Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly, or up to 75 lbs. with the assistance of supportive equipment or team members
- Ability to stand and walk for much of your shift
- High School Diploma or GED
- Willingness to learn how to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device (we provide training)
- Ability to work in various temperatures within our warehouse
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future
