This is a hybrid position based in Weston, FL.
SUMMARY:
The HR Specialist supports Talent Acquisition Team with a focus on recruiting and onboarding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supports all levels in the Recruitment team process including recruiting and onboarding.
- Coordinates candidate disposition flow in the ATS to create a talent pipeline to support recruitment efforts.
- Coordinates interview scheduling and candidate correspondences for the Recruitment team as needed.
- Initiates pre-employment requirements (e.g., background check and drug testing) to ensure compliance, submits IT requests and coordinates the launch of electronic paperwork for onboard.
- Tracks, coordinates and prepares start reports for all facets of the pre-employment process from offer letter to first day.
- Create employee files and maintain active files.
- Submit IT request and coordinate equipment with IT for new hires.
- Assists with document and site updates in the Smart Connect Onboarding Journey.
- Assembles and ships welcome kits, prizes, and polo shirts to new employees for home office and salaried distribution center employees.
- Provides new hire paperwork support for onboarding process in Weston office and remote office; verifies compliant documentation for I-9 and Everify, sets up IT equipment, STA application, badge creation, facilitates office tour, provides supplies.
- Maintains, organizes, and tracks inventory for onboarding items and office supplies.
- Assist with projects including Job Aids/SOP
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
- Excellent time management skills such as prioritizing, organizing, and deadline awareness for multiple projects with varying completion dates.
- Excellent oral and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work under limited supervision.
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Ability to track and follow up on details.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or 2 years of related experience.
- 1 year experience in the area of recruitment and onboarding preferred.
- 1 year experience with Taleo or any other Applicant Tracking System preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regular sitting at work station for 25 75% of the work shift
- Frequent standing and walking
