HR Specialist - Recruitment
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, this position will assume responsibility for the recruitment efforts for a multi-jurisdictional business with a continued growth strategy. Working with key business leaders and stakeholders, the HR Specialist – Recruitment will act as a strategic business partner with a specific focus on internal and external talent acquisition, development and retention. In this role, you will leverage your experience in full-cycle recruitment to develop innovative strategies to identify and source talent for specialised and operational roles.
About the Team
Butterfield employs more than 1,300 people across 10 jurisdictions. Our Human Resources team focuses on all areas of HR including talent management, culture and engagement, recruitment and retention, learning and development, payroll and benefits, and information management and analytics. Our global HR team works closely with key stakeholders and business leaders to provide a strategic partnership ensuring the business has the talent and resources required to meet growing demands while working collaboratively to create a positive and rewarding employee experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and owning the full end-to-end recruitment efforts for all operational and specialized roles.
- Supporting business leaders in the full employee life-cycle from onboarding to offboarding.
- Acting as a strategic recruitment partner with internal stakeholders to define role requirements, develop recruitment strategies, and deliver hiring solutions aligned with business needs.
- Proactively sourcing and building talent pipelines using a variety of channels, including social media, career events, etc.
- Representing the organization in the local talent market by building and maintaining strong external networks, attending career fairs and conferences, and promoting employment opportunities.
- Tracking, analysing, and interpreting recruitment, applicant, and labour market data to support workforce planning, competitive positioning, and continued organizational growth.
- Supporting internal and external stakeholders with immigration related activities, including endorsements and reporting.
- Providing support to internal stakeholders with talent management initiatives, such as succession planning, employee retention and performance management.
- Managing recruitment reporting and data, including vacancy tracking, recruitment activities and ad hoc reporting requests.
- Leading employee onboarding, ensuring all documentation, approvals, and processes are completed accurately and on time.
- Carrying out other projects and tasks as identified and required.
Requirements
Your qualifications and skills include:
- 3+ years’ experience leading recruitment efforts with proven ability to effectively source talent at various levels and across disciplines, preference given to those with experience in the financial services industry.
- Ability to establish, develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- A high degree of professionalism, business acumen and the ability to establish credibility and trust with leaders and employees.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong decision making with the ability to act independently.
- Must have integrity, high ethical standards with the ability to work with and handle sensitive data and information with absolute discretion.
- Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Must be results oriented and customer service focused.
