Description
Are you an HR pro who thrives on variety, values genuine connection, and wants a role where your expertise actually moves the needle?
Delta County is looking for an experienced HR Generalist to join our tight-knit, forward-thinking team. This isn’t just a "paper-pushing" role; it’s an opportunity to be a strategic partner in a department that prioritizes collaboration over hierarchy and impact over busywork.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
A Culture of "We": You’ll join a collaborative department where we have each other’s backs. We brainstorm together, solve problems as a unit, and celebrate the wins (big and small).
True Variety: From talent acquisition and employee relations to benefits administration and compliance, no two days are the same. You’ll have the autonomy to manage your workflow while contributing to county-wide initiatives.
The Best of Colorado: Work where others vacation. Between the North Fork Valley’s orchards, the Grand Mesa’s lakes, and the Black Canyon’s views, your "after-hours" just got a major upgrade.
Professional Growth: We value your experience and want to see you lead. You’ll have a seat at the table for process improvements and strategic planning.
What You Bring to the Table
We’re looking for a seasoned generalist who isn't afraid to dive into the details while keeping the big picture in mind. You’re a great fit if:
You’re a People Person: You navigate complex employee relations with empathy, professional boundaries, and a focus on resolution.
You’re Tech-Savvy: You know your way around an HRIS and understand how to use data to tell a story.
You’re a Compliance Pro: You stay ahead of the curve on labor laws and best practices, ensuring we’re always doing right by our team.
You Value Teamwork: You believe that the best solutions come from diverse perspectives and open communication.
The Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for performing human resources related responsibilities at a professional level and works closely with the Human Resources Director. This position will support a variety of human resource functional areas such as recruitment, employment, onboarding, employee relations, employee development, performance management, policy implementation, training, compensation, benefit coordination, retention and employment law compliance.
