Reporting to the Director of Patient Services, the Health Center Manager (HCM) is responsible for health center operations, workforce management and clinical performance of the Health Center. The HCM ensures that all team members offer excellent and responsive patient focused care. The HCM is responsible for overall performance of the health center and must adhere to the budget and operational plan for the health center. HCM responsibilities include all day-to-day activities including facility and security issues, information technology and clinical informatics, and all other issues that arise.
JOB SUMMARY
The Health Center Manager (HCM) is responsible for all operational and medical performance and day-to-day activities at the assigned health centers. Reporting to and in collaboration with the Director of Clinical Excellence, the HCM must assure daily staffing coverage at assigned health care centers, work collaboratively with other HCMs to redeploy staff to other centers based on need, and handle patient issues and complaints as they arise.
The HCM is responsible for all aspects of the assigned health center, including maintaining compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations, assuring that facility and security issues are properly reported and handled, information technology and medical informatics issues are reported and rectified, and that all other issues that might arise are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
The Health Center Manager (HCM) is an advocate in implementing our mission to “empower all people to make private reproductive health care decisions by providing quality health care, medically accurate education, and advocacy for individual rights.”
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3- 5 years of on-site management in a healthcare setting.
- Prior experience in and knowledge of family planning and reproductive health care management preferred.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, supervisory, and healthcare financial management skills.
- Ability to effectively motivate a diverse staff, including volunteers.
- Ability to effectively lead and work as a team member.
- Computer skills including knowledge of clinic management software, electronic communications, and use of management information systems as a management tool.
- Willingness to participate in all levels of operations to assure maximal performance of the health center.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Valid MT driver’s license, access to personal transportation, and proof of automotive insurance.
- Commitment to the mission and vision of PPMT.
- Understands the financial aspects of our business and maintains a focus on cost-effectiveness and stewardship.
- Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for safety and security, confidentiality, quality assurance, compliance with current laws and regulations including HIPAA and mandated reporting, and training.
- Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers, and customers regarding reported complaints, problems, and concerns.
- Promotes positive public image and relations of PPMT.
