A reputable regional bank is seeking an experienced Head of Loan Syndication to lead its syndicated lending franchise across ASEAN. Based in Singapore, this role will be responsible for driving the origination, structuring, and execution of syndicated loan transactions where the bank acts as Mandated Lead Arranger (MLA), while expanding relationships with regional lenders and institutional investors.

The successful candidate will play a strategic role in developing the bank's syndicated loan platform in Southeast Asia. In addition to originating and distributing transactions, the role will oversee a team responsible for syndication execution and lender engagement, ensuring successful deal placement and strong market positioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the origination, structuring, and distribution of syndicated loan transactions across ASEAN markets where the bank acts as Mandated Lead Arranger.
• Develop and execute the bank's syndication strategy, working closely with corporate banking, leveraged finance, and structured finance teams to originate mandates.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and international banks, institutional lenders, and credit funds to support deal distribution.
• Manage the end-to-end syndication process, including lender engagement, information memoranda preparation, pricing strategy, and bookbuilding.
• Provide market intelligence on liquidity, pricing, and investor appetite across ASEAN syndicated loan markets.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a syndication team, ensuring strong execution capability and collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Work closely with credit, legal, and risk teams to ensure transactions meet internal risk frameworks and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in loan syndication within corporate investment banking, with a strong focus on syndicated lending transactions.
• Proven track record in origination and execution of syndicated loans where the bank acts as Mandated Lead Arranger.
• Deep network with regional and international banks, institutional lenders, and credit investors active in the ASEAN loan market.
• Strong understanding of loan structuring, documentation, pricing dynamics, and market distribution processes.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and driving regional mandates.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multiple product and coverage teams.
• Based in Singapore with strong familiarity with ASEAN corporate and project financing markets.
