Job Title: Head of Financial Crime, APAC

Salary: SGD 250,000 - 350,000 base + bonus + benefits
Overview
A leading global financial services firm is hiring a senior Head of Financial Crime, APAC to lead the regional AML/CFT, sanctions, and fraud framework. This Executive Director-level role will partner closely with senior management and regulators to maintain a robust, risk-based control environment across APAC.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the APAC financial crime strategy.
• Oversee AML/CFT, KYC/CDD/EDD, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening frameworks.
• Act as the primary regional contact for regulators and auditors.
• Provide advisory on new products, clients, and market expansion.
• Oversee complex investigations and suspicious activity reporting.
• Conduct regional financial crime risk assessments and drive remediation.
• Build and lead a high-performing regional team.
• Deliver reporting and MI to senior governance forums.

Requirements

• 15+ years' financial crime compliance experience in financial services.
• Strong background in brokerage, securities, or capital markets.
• Proven APAC regional leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of Singapore and wider APAC AML/CFT requirements.
• Strong stakeholder management and regulatory engagement experience.
• CAMS, ICA, or similar certification preferred.

Preferred

• Experience in FX, derivatives, commodities, or prime brokerage.
• Exposure to cross-border and institutional client segments.
• Experience with financial crime technology implementations.
