Description
OverviewButton Hole Teaching Center is seeking a passionate and motivated Part-Time Golf Instructor for the upcoming season.
Button Hole offers a wide range of instructional programs and playing opportunities, including Beginner through Advanced youth classes, PGA Jr. League, in-house youth leagues, Women's League, Adult Beginner programs, and programs for veterans. Each season, we serve more than 1,000 children-approximately half of whom receive instruction at no cost. Upon completing classes, youth participants earn a BH Kid Card, granting $1 greens fees and $1 range baskets until age 18. In addition, we teach more than 500 adults annually.
Position Overview
The Golf Instructor's primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality instruction in a safe, fun, and supportive learning environment. Instructors play a key role in creating positive experiences for students and families while representing Button Hole in a professional manner.
Schedule & Commitment
- Hours vary week to week, averaging 15-30 hours per week during the summer months
- Must be available to work weekday mornings during the summer (July-August)
- Availability on Saturday mornings is a plus
- Opportunity to remain on staff April through October, based on performance and program availability
- Start and end dates may be adjusted in coordination with the Head Golf Professional
This position is well suited for college golfers, educators with summers off, or individuals pursuing a career in the golf industry who are passionate about teaching and community impact.
Golf Instructors report to Tyler Piekarski, PGA - Head Golf Professional, and Arys Batista - Director of Instruction.
Experience Required
- Prior experience teaching golf or the ability to play at a high level
- Prior experience working with large groups of children is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift ball baskets (approximately 25 lbs)
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead youth and adult golf classes in a professional, engaging manner
- Arrive early to prepare instructional areas and assist with post-class cleanup
- Provide leadership and direction to assistant instructors
- Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and participants
- Ensure a welcoming, organized, and positive experience for all guests
Benefits

- Compensation commensurate with experience ($20-$30 per hour)
- PGA Members or Associates may conduct private lessons during non-working hours
