Description
Wingtip Aviation is seeking qualified Pilot in Command/Second in Command candidates to join a well-established flight department that have a new G150 account in Dallas Texas.
This is not a commutable position and will require residing within driving distance to DAL.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the airworthiness of the aircraft to which assigned, and for the safety of the passengers and crew on board. The captain accomplishes the duties of pilot-in-command, as defined by Federal Aviation Regulations, the aircraft flight manual, and the department policy and operations manual, and is operationally responsible for all phases of the flight.
- If not already typed, must obtain the training and skills necessary to obtain a type rating for appropriate type.
- Develop and maintain a complete knowledge, understanding and a mastery of the aircraft systems.
- Makes decisions to start, delay, or cancel flights, or deviate from planned routes, or destinations, when operating conditions dictate.
- As a team member, always confers with other crew members to obtain as much information as possible to determine the best course of action.
- Maintains open channels of communication with all crew members and operations and maintenance.
- Responsible for maintaining highest standards of safety through acquiring all pertinent knowledge pertaining to any flights, pilot proficiency training and continuing education.
- Develops and maintains thorough understanding about the operation and location of all aircraft emergency, survival and medical equipment.
- Keeps fully informed on FAA and foreign regulations, and department policy pertaining to operations.
- Keeps informed of latest industry, aircraft, or equipment developments that may impact the department.
- Serves in an advisory capacity to the Director of Operations, Chief Pilot, and Director of Maintenance regarding aircraft flight operations.
- Develop and maintain the ability to communicate effectively with passengers, and express verbal and written thoughts coherently and logically.
- Assures safety and security of aircraft while away from home base.
- Maintains flight manuals and navigation charts, as required. Completes appropriate flight logs and paperwork for each flight.
- Responsible for post-flight activities, including proper storage and protection of aircraft, cleaning and restocking while away from home base.
Requirements
Certifications and Licenses:
FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP)
Years of Experience:
3-5 years of experience
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Educational and/or training background in an aviation related field desired.
- Strong customer service skills a must.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Proactive decision-making skills.
- Skills/ability to obtain a FAA Type rating in the applicable fleet type.
- Must maintain a valid First-Class Medical certificate.
- Previous flight experience in corporate aviation preferred.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum total flight time: 2500 hours (PIC) / 1500 hours (SIC)
- Multi Engine Land (MEL): 1500 hours (PIC) / 500 hours (SIC)
- Pilot in Command: 2000 hours (PIC applicants only)
- PIC MEL: 500 hours
- Instrument: 300 hours
- Jet: 500 hours
- Experience with a private and/or corporate flight department preferred.
Preferences will be given to the following candidates:
- Local (within 2 hours driving KDAL)
- G150 type rated
- Current Experience in Jet Aircraft.
