About this role

About the Role
We’re looking for an Events Fellow to take dedicated ownership of the Halo Awards — the nation’s largest accolade for outstanding corporate and nonprofit partnerships — starting with this fall’s cycle. Depending on how this fellowship goes and where our needs land, scope could expand to other Events & Community priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operations of The Halo Awards applications and judging processes, from application launch through finalist and winner selection.
  • Coordinate judging logistics: timelines, materials, and calendar invites with judges.
  • Support Halo Awards Gala planning and on-site logistics, in partnership with the Associate Manager, Events & Community and Associate Director, Events & Programming.
  • Track and follow up on award-related deliverables for winners, finalists, and sponsors.
  • Flag anything time-sensitive or precedent-setting to the Associate Director, Events & Programming rather than guessing.
  • Assist with monitoring the customer service inboxes during peak periods.

What Success Looks Like

  • The Halo Awards submission and judging process runs smoothly, on time, with minimal last-minute scrambling.
  • Applicants, judges, and winners have a clean, professional experience start to finish.
  • A clear enough track record that we know whether to extend this role, expand its scope, or bring on a fellow for the Halo Awards again next cycle.

Priority deadline: Nov 6. Applications reviewed on a rolling basis after that until filled.

Key Requirements

  • Who You Are
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, plus some professional experience, ideally with awards programs, application/judging processes, or event management; a genuine interest in pivoting into social impact work from another field also works.
  • Self-directed and comfortable owning a workstream with minimal oversight, especially as Halo deadlines approach.
