They are currently seeking a Building Products & Housing Equity Research Analyst to join an established US long/short equity team based in New York City.

Role Overview

• Join a large, collaborative US-focused long/short equity platform
• Act as the lead analyst for building products, housing, and related subsectors
• Own idea generation from initial research through portfolio implementation
• Work closely with senior PMs while maintaining clear sector autonomy
• Develop differentiated, fundamental views across cyclicals, structural growers, and event-driven opportunities within coverage

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 2+ years of buyside equity research experience
• Strong preference for candidates with long/short investing exposure
• Deep understanding of building materials, homebuilders, housing-related industrials, and adjacent supply chains
• Proven ability to generate actionable long and short ideas
• Comfortable operating as the primary sector expert within a broader team environment
• Strong financial modeling, variant perception, and risk-aware mindset
