| Physical Requirements | May require sitting for long periods of time, using a computer for extended periods, and going from place to place on campus. This person will deal with many different and sometimes emotional people during investigations, arranging hearings, and presenting investigation outcomes in a hearing. |
| Shift | Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm usually, occasionally requires more hours outside that period and on the weekends. |
| Job Summary | The Equal Opportunity Investigator will report to the Deputy Title IX Coordinator. This position will investigate and help to ensure the timely resolution of assigned reports of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct involving members of the University community. Assist the Executive Director Equal Opportunity/Title IX Coordinator with the University's Title IX compliance efforts. When reports are received, this position will conduct a prompt, thorough, and unbiased investigation and provide a written report of the findings. This position will facilitate the resolution process in a manner that supports the community and respects differences. This position will be required to maintain a working knowledge of current federal regulations (Title IX, VAWA, the Clery Act, FERPA, etc.) related to any discrimination impacting the University community, make recommendations for policy changes, and conduct training. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | Computer skills, producing documents in Word, PowerPoint, and OneDrive, and gaining access to online systems. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | Demonstrated experience conducting Title IX and Title VII investigations in higher education. Title IX Investigator training certification is preferred. |
