In this role, you will be a member of our highly reputable cost management and estimating team. The cost team delivers solutions to clients in the areas of conceptual estimating, budget development, cost planning, feasibility studies, value management, economic forecasting, milestone reports, pre- and post-contract auditing, change order review and reconciliation, BIM 5D cost modeling, LEED cost analysis, life cycle costing, and more. We are currently hiring for a Document Controls Manager in the Syracuse, NY area. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your project controls and cost knowledge within all phases of a project, while gaining experience on a large-scale semi-conductor project.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Set up the project filing system.
Manage confidential project information utilizing a database, software, or filing system.
Formulate procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records in conjunction with the client contract.
Establish documentation policies, processes, and databases to ensure compliance and quality control.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments, vendors, and contractors to ensure timely implementation of changes to controlled documents.
Plan, manage, and coordinate all aspects of the project schedule, scope, and cost.
Value Engineer the project by identifying opportunities for savings and ensuring material substitutions are equal.
Communicate with and manage project stakeholders.
Prepare Project Management plan and fee budget/proposal at the project outset.
Evaluate documents and communicate the client's specific goals and expectations to all project team members.
Develop and communicate action plans that will lead the project team throughout the project, beginning with the initial Project Management Plan.
Re-evaluate the contract scope of work as the project progresses against the goals, expectations, and the needs of the client, and recommend adjustments as necessary.
Coordinate with cost management group as applicable for preparation of cost estimates, cost studies, actual job cost reviews, and budget reconciliation.
Organize and maintain framework for project team processes and record keeping of electronic and physical documents.
Drive the permitting process by designing team documents to be submitted to various local, state, and federal agencies and ensure the applicable permits are moving through the process efficiently.
Ensure the project design management continues to follow the client project documents such as budget, scope, schedule, and client's design standards.
Prepare cost and revenue projections.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
Experience with setting up and maintaining a project filing system.
Experience with record retention, protection, retrieval, transfer and disposal.
Ability to manage confidential project information.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration Degree or equivalent
Experience: A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction administration
Preferred Certification: Document Control certification from accredited institution (ie, Consepsys).
Proficient in Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and SharePoint and/or similar Electronic Document Management System (EDMS).
Familiarity with AI in Construction and/or Document Control.
Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Familiarity with project lifecycle, technical documents and drawings (ie, BIM).

The salary range for this full-time role is $95,000.00-$126,666.68 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package.
