Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of MTSS and Student Well-Being provides district-wide leadership for the design,
implementation, and continuous improvement of an Integrated Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) that advances
academic success, social-emotional well-being, and equitable outcomes for all students. This leader integrates
responsibilities shared between staff implementing Multi-Tiered Systems of Support and delivering Counseling and
Student Well-Being services, thereby ensuring cohesive systems, aligned practices, and effective use of data to close
opportunity gaps. The Director collaborates across departments and with school leaders to ensure high levels of student
engagement, safety, mental health, and a sense of belonging across our schools and classrooms.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in educational leadership, school
counseling, school psychology, systems change, or a related field.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years successful certificated experience in public schools, including leadership in
MTSS, counseling, or student support systems. Prior administrative experience and experience coaching adult learners
required.
CERTIFICATES & LICENSES: Valid Washington State administrative certificate. ESA certification. Valid WA State driver’s
license required.
