Data Director, The Wisco Project
The Organization:
The Wisco Project is Wisconsin’s largest, scrappiest youth vote organization. We run large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize students across the state. In 2026, we will seek to build on the work of previous cycles to run our strongest program yet and score progressive victories for students across the state. This will be a crucial year for Wisconsin and we are in need of talented, dedicated staff ready to take on this challenge with us!
What Will You Do?
We are looking for a Data Director to manage all data and reporting needs and support organizing programming. The Data Director should be someone who is passionate about finding creative solutions to the data problems posed by a large-scale campus program. The role will start in early January and run through November, with the possibility of extension. This position will be based in Madison, WI and requires a significant amount of in-person work. Supporter housing may be available.
The Data Director will:
Work collaboratively across departments to develop metrics, effective reporting, and data tools
Oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of automated and manual reports and dashboards that assist with tracking program metrics and progress
Identify gaps, opportunities, and concerns based on incoming data
Work with campaign leadership and table partners to develop voter contact universes
Work to develop, maintain, and improve the campaign’s data infrastructure
Administer and support VAN and other voter contact tools
Manage any additional Data department staff as hired
All other duties as assigned
Who Are You?
A successful candidate for this role will have:
At least one cycle of campaign experience in a data role is required; at least 2-3 cycles is preferred
Experience or familiarity with campus programs is preferred
Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, responsiveness, and a passion for the work
Extensive VAN experience, including as an administrator, is required
Advanced Google Sheets ability is required
Proficiency with Google Data Studios, Tableau, and/or other data visualization platforms is strongly preferred
Prior staff management experience is a plus
Job Details: Compensation for this role is $7,500/month plus benefits. This is a Full Time role.
