Client Services Officer / Paraplanner
AssetZ Wealth is a boutique financial planning firm based in Burleigh Heads, specialising primarily in superannuation and SMSF advice.
We are seeking an experienced Client Services Officer / Paraplanner to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week).
While the role is initially part-time, there may be scope for additional hours or expanded responsibilities over time, depending on the needs of the business and the successful candidate’s skills and interests.
This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone with previous financial planning industry experience who is comfortable managing advice processes and preparing advice documentation.
About the Role
This role sits at the centre of the advice process, helping ensure client files progress efficiently from initial engagement through to implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the onboarding process for new clients
- Acting as a key contact for clients throughout the advice process
- Liaising with referral partners and external stakeholders
- Preparing Statements of Advice and related advice documentation
- Conducting research to support advice recommendations
- Coordinating and overseeing the implementation process, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently
- Liaising with platforms and product providers where required
- Supporting advisers and directors with client and advice-related matters
Our administration team assists with much of the implementation work (such as application processing and paperwork). However, this role is responsible for overseeing the overall advice and implementation process, ensuring files continue progressing smoothly.
You will also be working alongside two existing client services/paraplanning team members as part of the broader advice support team.
As a small boutique firm, we operate in a collaborative way and team members support one another across different parts of the advice process when required.
About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a financial planning practice and be confident managing advice workflows and preparing advice documentation.
You will be organised, proactive and comfortable communicating with clients and professional stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous financial planning industry experience (essential)
- Experience preparing or supporting the preparation of Statements of Advice
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail
- A professional and friendly phone manner
- Confidence communicating with clients and external stakeholders
The ability to manage multiple priorities and keep files progressing efficiently
Systems Experience (Advantageous)
Experience with the following systems would be beneficial:

- Microsoft 365

Remuneration
- $90,000 + super (full-time equivalent)
- Part-time hours (approximately 20 hours per week)
