JOB TITLE: Coordinator of Publication Services

REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Support Services
JOB SUMMARY
Provides technical and managerial leadership for the District's high-volume print and copy shop. Manage the District’s “Cost per Copy” contract.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervise the District’s Publication Services operations. Ensure appropriate assignment of personnel within established contractual and personnel procedures and establish and maintain service level standards for production expectations and timelines.
Ensure high level of customer service with a commitment to understanding client needs and aligning the operation with the district mission.
Manage workflows efficiently to meet client needs and ensure production expectations and timelines are met.
Establish and maintain positive working relations with customers, staff, and peers.
Provide tools and products to Publication staff for the efficient operation of equipment.
Provide training for employees to equip them to perform their duties in an efficient manner.
Oversee the design and creation of printed materials as requested by district staff.
Work with other District employees to fulfill their print room needs.
Provide training and/or instructional materials to building staff regarding the best use of copy resources.
Organize and maintain current file of district forms.
Maintain equipment in a manner that results in extended equipment life, minimizes repair costs, and provides for safe operation.
Establish policies and procedures for safe and efficient operation of equipment.
Keep accurate records relating to machine use, maintenance of machines, and completed printing assignments.
Facilitate all major repairs on all print room machinery.
Manage the District’s “Cost per Copy” contract, providing copiers and copier maintenance to all District facilities.
Develop and manage Publication Services budget.
Perform personnel functions (hire, evaluate, supervise, develop) for the purpose of enhancing productivity of personnel and achievement of district goals.
Engage in continuous professional growth.
Complete and submit reports/other information as required.
Fulfill legal responsibilities; Implement and comply with federal and state laws, District policies and other guiding principles.
Comply with District Policies.
Maintain consistent attendance at assigned worksite during regular work hours.
Perform other duties of similar scope and function.
Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS; MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of printing operations in a large-scale, fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of electronic file management and a variety of graphics software programs, including Corel & Adobe graphic programs; Excel; Word; Publisher; and web-to-print programs.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, and punctuation, including letter composition skills.
Ability to analyze relevant and complex information requiring a high degree of independent judgment.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees and constituent groups.
Ability to work well with administrators, staff, and the general public; displaying tact, good judgment, discretion, and strict confidentiality.
Ability to convey a positive image of the Mukilteo School District to foster good employee/employer relations and public relations.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight timelines.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility to meet the changing demands of the position.
Ability to demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school graduation or equivalent.
Prior experience in a customer-service focused, deadline-based working environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
AA or technical training in print shop methodologies.
Minimum of three years’ experience in a large-scale publication environment.
Public school experience.
