Job Summary:
The Consumer Product Manager I is responsible for the overall product management and strategic focus for assigned product lines and services. This position establishes marketing and product strategies based on an assessment of the competitive environment and develops new products/services to increase market share and meet identified customer needs. This position will be responsible for leading a specific product portfolio which may also include ownership of intensive systems, may require this individual to interact directly with customers, demo products, and lead new system implementations. This position will report to Consumer Product Manager II to ensure their strategies meet/align with the goals of the Consumer Product Team.
Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:
- Manages portfolio of products and services for consumer, including recommending price changes, improving functionality, and reducing inefficiencies, etc.
- Works with project teams from various departments to set business requirements, prioritize workloads, and understands resource requirements for assigned consumer projects
- Participates in product development and enhancement initiatives, in coordination with the Consumer Product Manager II. Researches new products and services, builds ROIs, writes business cases, works with PMO on implementation projects, and then maintains certain aspects of the product in perpetuity.
- Works with marketing to establish initial marketing materials for new products and services and updates existing materials as needed.
- Participates on project teams in various levels of Project Management (SME, Sponsor, etc.).
- Manages 3rd party vendors and assists in contract negotiations for consumer services.
- Utilizes Business Intelligence to prepare financial reports on products, fees, and project ROI performances.
- Assists management in budget preparation.
- Hosts trainings for commercial officers, customers, and internal team members.
- Prepares and presents product strategies and roadmaps to various levels of employees including Management Committee, Executive Committee, and Community Boards.
- Attends training, conferences, and webinars to continually enhance understanding of bank products and services.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Education and/or Experience:
- At least 5 years of combined experience in Treasury, Consumer, Product Management and/or bank operations required
- Or Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or other related field required
- Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Demonstrated success in defining and launching products with a proven track record of diving high impact projects that require strategic thinking analysis, business planning, and execution.
- Experience researching and developing new products and services.
Hiring Salary Range
The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate's prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $76,000 - $91,000.
