Client Summary:
Our client is a small- to mid-size hedge fund specializing on long/short equity strategies. They are conducting an exploratory search for a CFO/CCO who has experience building out internal functions and understands early-stage, infrastructure-building environments.
Candidate Expectations
- Experience in hedge fund finance and/or compliance (financial side more important)
- Comfortable in a small, startup environment
- Ability to build processes, controls, and structure
- Ideally from another small/mid-cap fund
- Someone who has played a critical role in a similar growth trajectory (#2 or #3 at a prior fund)
