Description
Katy Tyndell for Congress is seeking a passionate and skilled campaign manager to support its election to unseat the Republican incumbent Congressman in KS-04, Ron Estes. Katy is an attorney, business owner, and Kansan whose family roots in the state run back 5 generations. She grew up in a tiny ranching and farming town where everyone took responsibility, worked hard, and looked out for each other. It was this upbringing that instilled a work ethic and grit that have shaped every chapter of Katy’s life.
The Campaign is seeking a campaign manager to lead the efforts in this competitive and transformative race.
Responsibilities:
Overseeing and executing campaign field, finance, and communications plans; Monitoring budget and cash flow;
Working with the candidate to fundraise through events and call time; Political outreach and coalition building;
Managing candidate and campaign calendar;
Coordinating and communicating with consultants, advisors, and interest groups; Recruiting, training, and supervising campaign staff, interns, and volunteers; and Other tasks may be assigned.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
This position is ideal for those with experience as campaign managers, finance directors, other campaign positions, or the equivalent, who can leverage past experience to demonstrate the capacity to manage a large Congressional race under intense political scrutiny during a major election year.
Experience in the midwest and/or Republican leaning seats is preferable but not required.
Strong candidates will be:
Willing to adapt to new environments, learn quickly, and work well in high-pressure situations;
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, evaluate situations and suggest adjustments to schedule and prioritization accordingly.
Highly organized, punctual, and attentive to detail;
Strong oral and written communication skills;
Proficient using a computer, particularly with Google Docs, Microsoft Excel, NGP, VAN, ActBlue, or other similar donor database experience;
Willingness to learn, ask questions, and create a positive work environment for those around you
Candidates must:
have a valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle; and
Live in, or near Wichita KS, or be willing to relocate.
Time commitment:
Full-time through election day. Opportunities to begin earlier on a part-time basis. Hours will fluctuate due to the needs of the campaign, but all applicants should expect to work evenings and weekends.
Compensation commensurate with experience.
