- Upstate New York - Campaign Manager
Description
Dynamic individuals sought to lead a people-powered Democratic campaign in Upstate New York.
A successful candidate will possess a breadth of campaign experience and must demonstrate a range of professional skills. They will be passionate about building and running people-powered campaigns.
This position is a staff management position and two previous cycles of campaign experience with some supervisory responsibilities preferred. Qualified candidates will be familiar with and comfortable working Votebuilder and Google Workspace suite. Training will be provided on our best practices & program management protocols.
The geography of the district requires that a Campaign Manager have a car and the ability to drive. This is a full time position that will run from February through the New York State Primary in June. Staff will also receive priority for placement for our general election campaigns. Requirements
Responsibilities:
-Helping to develop an effective campaign plan and executing all strategies for a successful race.
-Working directly with the candidate and other stakeholders such as consultants and community leaders.
-Train, motivate and manage campaign staff.
-Direct campaign communications and rapid response.
Required Skills and Qualities:
-Demonstrated experience with the responsibilities above
-Proven ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines.
-Ability to work irregular hours and weekends.
-At least 2 cycles of political campaign experience
-Familiarity with campaign software (i.e. VAN)
