Overview
Marlene Galán-Woods for Congress is seeking a Call Time Manager to support the campaign’s finance operation. This is a full-time, fully in-person position based in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District. This role will report directly to the Finance Director.
Background
Marlene Galán-Woods is a former broadcast journalist and mother of five who has lived in Arizona for the past 38 years. Her parents fled communist Cuba looking for a better life. Their risk paid off and allowed Marlene to pursue her career as a broadcast journalist, which brought her to Arizona. She is running for Congress in Arizona’s 1st Congressional District, one of the most competitive battleground districts in the country.
Winning AZ-01 will require a strong, disciplined, and aggressive fundraising operation. The Call Time Manager will play a critical role in building and executing a successful call time program to help fuel a winning campaign.
Position Information
Based in: Arizona’s 1st Congressional District (fully in-person)
Responsibilities and Expectations
- Manage the strategic development and day-to-day implementation of the campaign’s call time program
- Prepare and staff the candidate for call time, including scheduling, call sheets, and briefing materials
- Manage donor tracking, follow-up systems, and pledge fulfillment
- Maintain and manage the campaign’s fundraising database
- Oversee interns or junior staff conducting donor research and prospecting
- Build and expand the campaign’s donor universe, with a focus on Arizona-based and national Democratic donors
- Track progress toward call time and fundraising goals and provide regular updates to the Finance Director
- Collaborate with the Finance Director on donor acknowledgment and stewardship programs
- Assist with additional fundraising needs and donor relations as necessary
- Support fundraising events, including preparation, logistics, and follow-up
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Candidate Qualifications
- Previous campaign or political fundraising experience preferred, but not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced campaign environment
- Experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, and NGP (or other political CRMs)
- Ability to work in-person in the district
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, solutions-focused attitude
