Description
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Business Development Specialist to work with our Client Development & Marketing team in our Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Chicago, or downtown Indianapolis offices. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering comprehensive support to assigned practice groups, advancing the firm’s strategic initiatives to grow brand and revenue. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.
What you would do:
Provide daily business development assistance to assigned practice groups, supporting pitches, proposals, strategic planning, relationship intelligence, marketing and BD collateral, experience management, and execution of client growth initiatives
Organize and keep practice group materials current, develop and maintain pitch decks, and manage experience collection and tagging
Oversee projects assigned by the BDM/SBDM, such as preparing and updating practice group materials, supporting pitch development, and managing experience documentation
Collaborate with the pursuits team to craft client-focused proposal content tailored to supported practice groups and sector teams
Partner with Competitive Intelligence and other resources to gather market research on prospective clients and sector trends
Mentor junior specialists, supporting their professional growth and development
Manage relevant calendars, tracking documents, and assist with project management
Other duties or special projects as assigned

The anticipated initial hourly rate for someone who is hired into this position is $42.00 – $50.25/hour based on a 37.5 hour a week schedule.
Actual initial hourly rate may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is a non-exempt role paid on an hourly basis with a 37.5-hour schedule work week. The initial hourly rate listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
Requirements
What is required:
Bachelor’s degree required; business concentration preferred.
At least four (4) years of professional experience, including a minimum of two (2) years within a professional services environment, ideally in business development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and experience with database software
Experience in a law firm or experience in the legal profession, preferred
