- Business Development Manager
Description
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and developing new and existing customer relationships. This position serves as a key link between customers and operations, providing supply chain solutions that align with customer needs. The Business Development Manager I proactively manages the sales pipeline, is responsible for meeting outreach KPIS, and revenue targets.
Responsibilities
- Routinely identify and qualify new business opportunities to position our Enterprise and execute our service offering.
- Generate new business through prospecting, networking, cold calls, and referrals by building a portfolio of customers outside of current customer base.
- Make face to face sales calls as required.
- Utilize Zoominfo to source, identify prospects, develop customer opportunities, and log ongoing communication.
- Track the freight to ensure on time pick up and deliveries occur.
- Communicate with customers to ensure they are updated on ETAs and information on all loads.
- Enter activity on a daily/weekly basis into Salesforce.
- Conduct ongoing follow up to develop greater value, communicate new opportunities, and build professional relationships.
- Ensure routine review of performance scorecards with customers.
- Work with Operations teams to understand network capabilities and needs.
- Meet or exceed goals for sales revenue and gross margin on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite of products, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Effective Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Business Management Skills Detail Oriented, Organized, Time Management
- High Level of Initiative, Competitive, Action Oriented, Problem Solver
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or as a team as needed.
- Knowledge of the transportation/logistics industry.
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain or similar field required. 1 year of relevant work experience may be substituted for each year of education required.
- Transportation/Logistics/Supply Industry Experience Preferred

- Pay Range: $40,000.63-$101,269.75
