• Handle accounting entries for the firm's proprietary trading activities and perform the associated reconciliations.
• Support the month-end closing cycle, including tasks related to consolidation and group reporting.
• Compile regular financial reports for Head Office, PRC regulators, and internal management, providing insights for monitoring and analysis.
• Assist with financial due diligence work and contribute to system upgrades or enhancements related to the finance function.
• Participate in evaluating the financial, tax, and structural implications of group initiatives and policy changes.
• Review existing processes and recommend improvements to strengthen workflow efficiency and overall operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate with various internal teams to facilitate business initiatives and streamline procedures.
• Coordinate with both internal and external auditors on accounting, control, and audit-related matters.
• Carry out additional tasks or projects as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Holder of a CPA or equivalent professional qualification, with approximately 5-8 years of experience gained from a securities firm or a Big 4 environment.
• Solid knowledge of HKFRS/IFRS and strong familiarity with financial instruments used in proprietary trading; experience in valuation is an added advantage.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
• A collaborative team player who is detail-oriented, proactive, resilient under pressure, and equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
