POSITION DESCRIPTION AVIATION PARTS ROOM LOGISTICIAN
Job Title: Aviation Parts Room Logistician
Reports to: Director of Maintenance
Classification: Non - Exempt
Time Commitment: Full-time
Position Summary
The Aviation Parts Room Logistician is responsible for the control, accountability, and management of all aircraft parts, components, tooling, consumables, and material required to support AIRTEC maintenance operations. This position oversees the daily operation of the parts room, including inventory accuracy, material receiving, traceability verification, proper storage, issuing of parts, and support for CONUS and OCONUS maintenance locations.
Essential Functions
- Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the aviation parts room, ensuring clean, organized, and compliant storage.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming parts for traceability requirements including 8130‑3, C of C's, burn certs, and Life Limited part history.
- Issue all materials, consumables, and tooling in support of maintenance tasks.
- Maintain segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, repairable, quarantined, and time‑controlled components.
- Track rotable pools and time‑limited items.
- Conduct cycle counts and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Manage shelf‑life items and time‑sensitive materials.
- Forecast and support material for scheduled inspections, phase work, and engine requirements.
- Maintain tool and equipment calibration schedules.
- Coordinate shipping of components for repair, overhaul, and OCONUS distribution.
- Manage AOG shipments.
- Ensure compliance with export regulations.
- Track repair orders, TAT, and vendor performance.
- Maintain material records for audits, inspections, and customer oversight.
- Ensure documentation meets OEM, company, and contract requirements.
- Support deployed maintenance personnel with parts, tools, and material.
- Coordinate shipments and replenishment for forward operating locations.
- Identify efficiency improvements for parts room operations.
- Support procurement, QC, and maintenance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid passport, or the ability to receive a passport.
- Strong knowledge of aviation material handling and logistics.
- Understanding of certification documents including 8130‑3 and C of C.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory systems.
- Minimum five years of aviation logistics, material control, or parts room experience.
- Experience supporting multi‑site aviation operations preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 5075 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to work in hangars and warehouse environments.
- Ability to work in austere or remote locations.
