Description
Mesilla Valley Christian School (Las Cruces, NM) is seeking an Assistant Head of School for our K-12 ministry for the 2026-27 school year. MVCS was founded in 1974 and currently has an enrollment of 430 students. MVCS is accredited by the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS) and is recognized by the State of New Mexico as an accredited K-12 school.
Th AHoS works closely with the Head of School to oversee all aspects of school operations and works closely with and under the authority of the Board of Trustees.
This is a fulltime exempt position that provides a competitive compensation package including health and dental coverage, Long Term Disability, 403b retirement, and tuition waivers to attend MVCS. MVCS is a Protestant, evangelical ministry that historically aligns closely with churches of the Baptist and Presbyterian denominations. (www.mvcsonline.com)
Requirements
MVCS is seeking a proven leader with prior K-12 Christian school experience with an advanced degree in school administration or education. The AHoS assists in providing spiritual, academic, and social leadership to the staff, students, and school community at large. Prior experience teaching in a K-12 Christian school is a plus, as well as strong people skills and a heart to shepherd the staff and student body. The AHoS is actively involved in many areas of campus life including student discipline, chapel planning, retreats and special events, and supervision of faculty and staff as assigned.
