Our Houston office is currently seeking a litigation associate attorney to join our Firm. Associates will represent public entities, including public school districts, community and junior colleges, private and charter schools, and other public sector entities in all types of litigation. The position involves handling matters from initial assessment through resolution, including pleadings, dispositive motions, and discovery. Experience in representing governmental entities, school districts, or other public bodies is preferred but not required. Candidates should demonstrate strong legal research and writing skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. The associate will work closely with partners while maintaining primary responsibility over assigned matters. The Firm operates in a collegial, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of experience in litigation, with meaningful exposure to motion practice, discovery strategy, and courtroom proceedings. Candidates with 1–2 years of experience will be considered in certain circumstances, particularly where they demonstrate a strong interest in education law.
