- Assistant Professor/Principal Faculty, Developing Physician Assistant Studies Program
Description
Plaza College is seeking passionate, dedicated Physician Assistants to fulfill the roles of Principal Faculty for its developing Physician Assistant Studies Program (MSPAS) at its Forest Hills, NY campus.
The 24-month program, 12-month didactic and 12-month clinical phases, is currently in the process of seeking Accreditation Review Commission for the Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) provisional accreditation and is anticipating its first cohort to matriculate in 2027. Principal Faculty will report to the PA Program Director and be instrumental in developing and implementing every aspect of the MSPAS Program. In addition to course instruction in both the didactic and clinical phases of the program, faculty members will be actively involved in curriculum and course development, course administration, admissions, accreditation, and programmatic assessment and analysis.
This is a full-time, non-tenure, year-round appointment and all applicants must be available to report in person at the Plaza College campus in Forest Hills, Queens.

Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must be a graduate of ARC-PA accredited Physician Assistant Program or a physician who graduated from an accredited medical school. A minimum of a Master’s degree is required, doctoral or PhD degrees preferred.
Applicants must also maintain current NCCPA certification if a PA or current ABMS or AOA board certification in a medical specialty if a physician.
A minimum of three (3) years of professional clinical practice and prior teaching experience in the classroom or clinical setting strongly preferred.
