The College of Dental Medicine is seeking a dedicated educator committed to excellence in dental hygiene education, student mentorship, and academic collaboration. The successful candidate will contribute to the continued growth of the dental hygiene program while supporting the University’s mission of preparing skilled and compassionate healthcare professionals.
Structure and Responsibilities
Full-time faculty members at Lincoln Memorial University–College of Dental Medicine are responsible for maintaining the highest academic standards within their discipline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching dental hygiene coursework in classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings
- Advising and mentoring students
- Developing and maintaining curriculum in accordance with accreditation standards
- Remaining current in dental hygiene practice, pedagogy, and educational technologies
- Analyzing and interpreting student learning outcomes to improve teaching and learning
- Participating in faculty development activities and professional development opportunities
- Contributing to program, college, and university service
- Engaging in scholarly activity and professional growth within the discipline
- A strong commitment to teaching, scholarship, and service is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in dental hygiene practice or a related field
- Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Tennessee
- Knowledge of current trends and best practices in dental hygiene education and practice
- Demonstrated ability to teach in both traditional classroom and online environments
- Ability to analyze and interpret student learning outcome data
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet-based applications
- Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and student success
- Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and professional organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree preferred
