Assistant Professor of Accounting School of Business University of Arkansas at Monticello For complete details visit us online at http://www.uamont.edu/jobs Summary of Job Duties: Primary duties consist of teaching twelve credit hours a semester at the undergraduate level, including Principles of Managerial Accounting and upper-level courses in the major such as Cost Accounting, Auditing, Governmental/Nonprofit and Accounting Information Systems. Other responsibilities include advising students and service to the University and the School of Business. Expectations for promotion and tenure include research/scholarly activities appropriate to a teaching-centered School of Business. Collegiality, professionalism, effective communication skills, and a strong commitment to teaching excellence are necessary. As a member of the business faculty the successful candidate will be an integral part of the School and have the opportunity to shape the accounting and business programs. Qualifications: A Ph.D. is strongly preferred. Applicants with an ABD or Masters degree in Business Administration or Accounting will be considered. CPA licensure or eligibility for licensure with an intent to complete the requirements is preferred for candidates with a Masters degree. Preference will be given to candidates with previous higher education teaching experience, both online and in-person. The starting date is August 11, 2026.
