Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in statistics, data science, or a related discipline by the time of appointment.
Position Summary
The Department of Statistics at the University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor or associate professor in the area of statistical machine learning, big data analytics, uncertainty quantification, integration of complex multimodal data sources, interpretable artificial intelligence (AI), and or the statistical foundations of AI, starting August 1, 2026.
The successful applicant will be expected to develop a research program that will be competitive for external funding, be engaged in the activities of the Department, and play a major role in building the University's missions in research and teaching.

Scholarly credentials should reflect a strong commitment to research and teaching in one of the aforementioned areas or a closely related field.
