Blowing Rock Country Club has an active and highly engaged membership that play 14,000 rounds of golf over a 6-month season. The professional staff is responsible for administering 30+ member events, facilitating weekly member games, and an active LGA schedule.

Essential Responsibilities

Blowing Rock Country Club is seeking applicants for a Assistant Golf Professional role. This position would begin in March 2027 and the duration can be flexible for the right candidate. This position will assist the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in managing all aspects of the golf operation. Specific duties include:

• Train, supervise, and schedule cart barn staff while maintaining high standards of service and presentation.

• Facilitate weekly member games and other recurring golf activities. Assist with all aspects of daily golf operations, including managing the first tee, monitoring pace of play, and ensuring a seamless experience for members and guests.

• Play regularly with member groups to build relationships, understand member preferences, and enhance the overall member experience.

• Support the planning, organization, and execution of tournaments and golf events, ensuring smooth operations from registration through scoring. Lead the planning and execution of at least one major club event.

• Assist with golf shop operations, including merchandising/buying, inventory management, and providing exceptional service to members and guests.

• Provide golf instruction to members of all skill levels, conduct clinics, assist with club fittings, and perform basic club repair and adjustments.

Benefits

• 2027: 7-to-8-month salaried position depending on the candidate. Range - $39,000 - $45,000.

• 2028: 9 to potential 12-month salaried position depending on the candidate and 2027 work experience.
