Solina Golf Club, located in Columbia, South Carolina, is seeking a motivated Assistant Golf Professional to join our team and help support the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional in delivering an exceptional private club golf experience.

The club has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting golf experiences in the region, offering a dynamic calendar of events, competitive member tournaments, and an engaging golf culture that appeals to both avid players and those simply looking to enjoy the game with friends.

Our golf program features a full schedule of member tournaments, and instructional opportunities designed to create memorable experiences and foster meaningful relationships within the membership. Signature events such as the Member-Guest and Member-Member tournaments highlight the club's social atmosphere and competitive spirit, bringing members and guests together for some of the most anticipated weekends of the season.

The Assistant Golf Professional will play an important role in the daily operation of the golf program while gaining valuable experience in tournament administration, instruction, merchandising, and member engagement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of golf tournaments and member events, including tournament setup, scoring, and administration using Golf Genius software.
• Help organize and run weekly member games and competitions, fostering engagement and camaraderie among the membership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members and their guests, delivering a high level of service and personalized attention.
• Provide individual and group golf instruction, including junior programs, ladies clinics, and member development programs.
• Collaborate with the golf operations team, course maintenance staff, and club management to ensure smooth daily operations and an outstanding golf experience.
• Assist with daily golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and maintaining a professional retail environment.
• Support and promote member events, leagues, and instructional programming to encourage participation and strengthen club culture.
• Maintain communication with course maintenance to ensure the golf course and practice facilities are presented in excellent condition.
• Deliver exceptional hospitality and service while helping maintain a welcoming and professional club atmosphere.
• Assist with member and guest check-in, tee sheet management, and pace of play to ensure a smooth daily operation.
