Experience Required

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Assistant Golf Professional at a private or semi-private club.
• PGA Class A Membership or actively pursuing PGA membership through the PGM program.
• Proven ability to lead daily golf operations, including staff supervision, pace-of-play management, cart fleet oversight, tournaments, and merchandise operations.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering a professional, member-focused service experience in a fast-paced, hospitality-driven environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage tournament operations using Golf Genius for weekly club events, leagues, and outside outings.
• Assist with planning, setup, scoring, and communication for all golf tournaments and special events.
• Support player development programs, including private instruction, clinics, and group programs for members of all skill levels.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to members and guests across all areas of golf operations.
• Build strong member relationships by actively engaging during play, events, and daily interactions.
• Participate in recreational play and Pro-Am events to enhance member engagement and club visibility.
• Assist the Director of Golf in leading, mentoring, and supporting assistant professionals, golf shop attendants, and outside service staff.
• Help oversee daily golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and point-of-sale systems.
• Ensure proper pace of play, course etiquette, and enforcement of club policies and rules.
• Assist in supervising golf operations staff by recruiting, training, scheduling, and developing a "service-first" team.
• Conduct staff meetings and on-the-job training to reinforce service standards and operational procedures.
• Promote the game of golf and represent the Club with professionalism, integrity, and enthusiasm.
• Support outside service operations, including cart staging, bag handling, and practice facility management.
• Communicate effectively with members, guests, and staff using professional language and proper grammar.
• Perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain strong attention to detail in all aspects of golf operations, administration, and member experience.
• Assist with enforcing safety standards and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming golf facility.
• Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak season and events.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills while engaging a diverse membership and guest population.
